My Story
I’m Joyce Esposito, MS, CCC-SLP, the founder of Gab & Grow, established in 2023. I’m a neurodiversity-affirming, ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist licensed in Florida. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from the University of Florida and my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Seton Hall University.
With over 10 years of pediatric experience across schools, clinics, private practice, and home health, I specialize in early intervention, speech sound disorders, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), receptive/expressive language, and pragmatic/social communication.
Based in Lake Nona, I proudly serve families across Osceola and Orange counties in Central Florida, offering mobile and virtual pediatric therapy services in natural environments such as homes, daycares, community settings, or online - where children feel most comfortable. Quality care is accessible to families throughout Florida with flexible therapy options tailored to meet your child’s unique needs. My play-based, child-led, and interest-driven approach fosters authentic, meaningful communication through activities your child already enjoys.
I value a holistic, relationship-centered model that embraces neurodiversity and supports the whole child - including sensory needs and their preferred methods of communication and self-expression. I have a deep belief in presuming competence, believing every child is capable of learning, communicating, and connecting in meaningful ways - whether or not they use spoken language. My role is to support and celebrate that potential with patience, respect, and the assumption that, given the right supports, every child can learn and grow. I am committed to collaborating with families and support teams to ensure progress extends beyond sessions into everyday life.
In addition to my private practice, I also work as a school-based speech-language pathologist, collaborating with educators to help students succeed academically and socially. This dual experience allows me to bring a comprehensive, well-rounded approach to therapy that supports your child’s communication both at school and at home.
After the birth of our son Asher, my husband Christopher and I relocated from New Jersey to Central Florida to be closer to family. Becoming a first-time mom inspired me to take a leap of faith and launch Gab & Grow. I saw firsthand how the tools and strategies I used professionally made a meaningful difference at home, supporting Asher’s early speech and language development. That personal experience motivated me to empower other caregivers and support their child’s communication journey through connection and play.
